It is with great sympothy, that I announce the closure of The Ballads from the Bush show at Paradise Country after 4 wonderful years of a true blue Australiana show and over 1100 live performances.I’ve grown so much from this experience, the quiet bushland surroundings and kind people to accompany it. It has been such a pleasure bringing my own style to the tables (thanks for putting up with it all these years guys).
I’d like to take this opportunity to thank the staff who have been a support team. Without your help, with many a things, I wouldn’t have survived with the show as long as I did. I had a ball everytime. So many memories I’ll cherish forever, it’s been great to know you. And laugh with you.
In particular, many thanks to opera tenor Lachlan Baker. Who through all these years, from initial day dot to current, has always been a mentor & friend. His humour keeps me smiling, and words of wisdom I’ll never forget. So thank you.
It certainly is an end of an era, it feels very satisfying to have played a show week in and week out. The Ballads from the Bush is a show I’ll be proud of. Possibly the greatest amount of performances of the 1 particular show I’ll accumulate in a lifetime!!! This has been a profound experience, something that will live in me for a long time to come.
It’s onwards and upwards, I hope the grass is always green, that life continues to grow and that there is an abundance of success and happiness for you all. This is not the end, rather the beginning of something new. Many thanks.
“…Take Me Home Country Roads…”
Keep the whole world singing!
