Hello!
What a beautiful year it’s been full of great moments, powerful experiences and continuing momentum.
This year has been a busy year with the release of my debut CD Spirit, a south-east QLD tour of that show, 2 Operas, evenings of singing around the town and closing my long-standing show at Paradise Country.
The year began with the final touches on my CD, and was quickly booked in with dates to tour and promote the CD throughout S.E. Queensland. Visiting many centres, retirement homes and people who love classical music - something I enjoy and love so much, was fufilling to say the least. After the successful tour, I realised the true value of giving back to others through shows and entertainment for the elderly. People to share the power of classical music with.
After the tour, I stepped into the military boots of Captain Paul Fontaine in the opera The Desert Song and followed it up with Ralph Rackstraw in HMS Pinafore. I returned an encore presentation of my show Spirit at the prestigious Club Banora and recieved the Encouragement Award at the Talent Search competition. An Evening with Charles Cooper was invited to perform at Beluga Restaurant.
After 4 glorious years, I closed my show The Ballads from the Bush at Paradise Country in late November. A great Australiana tribute show, and over 1,100 performances. I was lucky enough to have done it for that long. Many great memories there.
The Christmas Carols shows were awesome this year. Big sound. Plenty of people at each one, I always love spreading the christmas cheer and entertaining.
Thank you so much to everybody who bought my CD, talked to me after the shows and believe in me by showing how much they care. Thank you specially to my loved ones who I cannot do all this without you. You are my foundation. Cheers!
To end the year in style, I’ll be performing An Evening with Charles Cooper at Chill Restaurant from 7pm on Thursday 31st December 2009. A fun night full of classical, opera, jazz, swing and a hint of Rock & Roll.
Next year will see brand-new Tenor shows, exciting new concepts and plenty of good ol’ fashioned classical entertainement.
Until then, Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year!!!
Keep the whole world singing,
Charles
