Cobaki Broadwater Village is hosting a fundraising concert for Camp Quality. Charles Cooper will be one of several Guest Artist’s donating his time in aid of helping create a better quality of life for children living with cancer.

The evening concert series will include tunes The German Wheel, The Prayer and Nella Fantasia to Mama and a string of musical, classical and Opera favourites. Please come along and support this worthwhile cause over two (2) glorious nights of beautiful music.

The accapella chorus Voice Weavers are performing The Magic of Voice Weavers & Friends fundraising concert at the Tweed Golf Club this Sunday 16th May 2010. Performance time is 2pm. The variety concert will see an amazing line-up of vocalists and special guest appearances - all helping to get the chorus over to Shanghai for International Competition!

After touring around South-East Queensland, performing the show Charles Cooper: In Concert on the road throughout the Gold Coast, Brisbane and Toowoomba regions, it’s been a breathtaking journey to say the least. Thank you for being part of this truely magnificant concert.

The show (and CD sales) have been successful whilst on tour, and I thank you all so much for your ongoing support and overwhelming  enthusiasm. It was to my delight to bring to you the classical-cross over variety that is often demanded. And singing some of those songs that you so often miss.

It’s like one audience member says “It takes me back 70 years”. So, f I can re-create the magic of that era gone bye, and present as something new, vibrant and fresh - then the show has  achieved it’s purpose.

If you loved it - wonderful !!! (please recommend it to your friends). Perhaps you would like to let me know which songs/music could be incorporated into the next show? Your feedback is always most welcome.

My Australiana The Ballads from the Bush show returned to Paradise Country for a “One-Night-Only” appearance last night (Saturday 3rd April 2010) for students from Japan. After a 5 month hiatus, the high-energy tribute to the songs of Australia was back. A wonderful, very nostalgic one hour show packed with all the greatest things about this Great Southern Land.

It felt great to be back in the saddle, singing the pride of the nation, even if only as a once-off show. It was an honour, and certainly a special atmosphere I will never forget. Have a very Happy Easter!!! See you at the shows!!!

Filming is wrapping-up on the final scenes of Sea Patrol (Season 4). During the month of January, I’m having good fun playing sailor HOOD alongside television’s alumni Lisa McCune and Ian Stenlake. Having a wonderful time with cast and crew. Warm, helpful and plenty of the “can do” spirit!!!

This month has seen many scenes shot at the Warner Roadshow Studios, on the Gold Coast. Early February will be shot in the lush Tamborine Mountains! Expect the series to go to air later in the year on the Nine Network in 2010.
